This package includes automata mods for the passenger rail network.
It contains 12 different car styles, each with 36 different railroad livery styles from North America.
Some of them existed in reality, some did not, but they are included here for completeness,
and to allow you, the user, the most flexibility in your game.
Types of engine color schemes: A side note on the engine mods from Volume 10 and Volume 14 SC4D LEX Legacy - BSC VDK Train Mods Vol11 and Vol19 North American Passenger Cars (VDK Train Mods Volume 11 and Volume 19 A-B). In the names there are used numbers and letters to indicate different types of color schemes.Where types are indicated with numbers (e.g. NP1 and NP2), the real life trains were either seperated on different systems (commuter/intercity) or by time period. Color schemes indicated by letter were used concurrently on the same system (eg. Amtrak a,b,c). |
InstallationExtract the z___BSC MODs parent folder into your Plugins".
Due to first the Project ZIP efforts, then the SC4D LEX Restoration efforts in order to make the folder structure more unified the original install location (VDK Automatas BSC) and the file names have been changed. The letters on the pictures above, helps you to pick the file you want to install. Please be aware that the problem with "ghost trains" as state below in Known problems will get worse with the numbers of cars installed.
|
Uninstallation: To uninstall these files, simply delete them from your plugins folder. |
When using custom automata mods the game will occasionally show "ghost trains" just after loading (trains showing up just outlined, or only partly visible).
This is normal, and nothing to worry about. The more train mods you have installed, the more this phenomena will be noticed. Sometimes it will persist even after the initial loading of the map. |
